EXPERIMENTAL PLANT
The Aquaculture Fish Experimental Plant of El Bocal (Santander, Spain) was built in 1992 with both experimental and industrial production modules. This building consists of a facility with 2400 m2, laboratories, warehouses and cold and freezing storing equipment. The pumping system delivers seawater flows up to 350 m3/h and there is a heating system and water temperature regulation. The plant counts with tanks of different volume for incubation (1L (70), 70 L (10), 200 L (5) and 400 L (2)), live food production tanks, larval rearing tanks, fattening tanks (4,000 L (12), 1000 L (78), 900 L (20), 500 L (6), 450 L (4) and 250L (15)), breeding tanks (16,000 L (9) and 14,000 L (6)), and as cement tanks (62,000 L (2) l 45.000 (3) 12.000 L (8) and L 1000 (8)). In addition, attached to the building there is a larval unit built in 2009 that maintains the quality, oxygenation and temperature of seawater required with their equipment and tanks (4000 L (17) and 250 L (10)).

PLANTA EXPERIMENTAL
En 1992 se construyó la Planta de Experimentación en Acuicultura de Peces de El Bocal (Santander, España) con módulos experimentales y de producción industrial. Dicha instalación consta de una nave con 2400 m2 construidos, laboratorios seco y húmedo, almacenes y cámaras de frío y congelación. El sistema de bombeo de agua de mar suministra un caudal de hasta 350 m3/h y existe un sistema de calentamiento y regulación de temperatura del agua. La planta dispone de tanques de diferente volumen para incubación (1L (70 ), 70 L (10), 200 L (5) y 400 L (2) ), producción de alimento vivo, cultivo larvario, engorde ( 4.000 L (12), 1.000 L (78), 900 L (20), 500 L (6), 450 L (4), y 250L (15)), reproductores (16.000 L (9) y 14.000 L (6) ), así como tanques de cemento (62.000 L (2), 45.000 l (3), 12.000 L (8) y 1000 L (8) ). Además, adosado al edificio hay una Unidad Larvaria construida en el año 2009 que permite mantener la calidad, oxigenación y temperatura del agua de mar requerida con su equipamiento y tanques (4000 L (17) y 250 L (10)).
